If I meet one more vegan who claims to be opposed to cruelty but eats vegetables harvested by marginalized migrant children, I’m gonna eat a cat.

I, the Op, actually buy all of my produce from local farmers. Most every vegan I know does too, not to mention slaughterhouses are actually one of the most dangerous jobs in the states and you clearly don’t give a fuck about that and you probably don’t pay attention to where your produce comes from because I’m assuming you eat vegetables and fruits sometimes too. So take your stupid fucking comment and go the fuck home.

You clearly choose to ignore that local organic farmers also use migrant farm workers. And it is so clear that choice to lay claims about animal cruelty are based in white wealth and privilege. And a banana? Please tell me you never eat a banana, vegan, or tofu? You never eat tofu? So you get your tofu and tempeh from local organic soy bean farms that use only highly paid, insured labor to pick the soy beans? And they only use non-GMO, pesticide-free, soy? Check your privilege vegan, check your privilege.

What’s BAD: The 10-year-old kid with the intense athlete’s-foot fungal infection on both feet, due to rarely (never?) changing his filthy socks or washing his feet.

What’s WORSE: The rest of his family obviously doesn’t value personal hygeine much either (I had to breathe through my mouth for the entire visit).

The article, published in the Eugene Register, explains the plight of people who owned cabin homes in the Spirit Lake area of the mountain. Some - like Harry R. Truman - refused to leave, and eventually perished.

Who is that cheerful man with the adorably double-braided beard and why is he dressed up as a Japanese schoolgirl? Kotaku’s Brian Ashcraft has the scoop: This is Hideaki Kobayashi and he’s known (and rightfully so) as “Sailor Suit Old Man.”

Recently, Japanese sites and Twitter users in Tokyo have spotted an old guy dressed in a sailor style school uniform—a truly unusual sight to behold. People were amused. People were baffled. What the hell was going on?!

Japanese site IT Media met Kobayashi and asked him the question on everyone’s mind: Why do you dress like a Japanese schoolgirl?

“That’s a difficult question,” said Kobayashi. “It’s not really something I’ve thought too deeply about. Hrm. I guess it’s because sailor suits look good on me?”
